Tar and GZip come to Xceed Zip for .NET
Xceed has yet again expanded the number of ways that your applications can handle the data they need to work with. Xceed’s flagship .NET compression component, Xceed Zip for .NET, now supports Tar and GZip, ensuring maximum compatibility between applications and data. These new features go hand-in-hand with Xceed’s new philosophy of providing developers with multi-talented components. And of course, because these features are all implemented in Xceed FileSystem Core, using them is extremely intuitive. Xceed FTP for .NET, which is also powered by Xceed FileSystem Core, benefits equally from the addition of these formats.

DevTeach 2006
DevTeach 2006, the International Developers Conference, takes place May 8-12 in downtown Montréal, Canada. Xceed is again pleased to be a sponsor at the conference. Xceed Chart for ASP.NET now more cost-effective than ever
Now you only have to pay for the number of developers working with Xceed Chart for ASP.NET. Some companies make you pay on a per-server basis, at times charging for deployment to test servers, or even worse, on a per-CPU basis! The unlimited-server pricing model used with Xceed’s ASP.NET charting component translates into greater savings and fewer administrative hassles.
Important security update
An important security issue has been found and corrected in Xceed Encryption Library. This issue involves the SetRandomInitVector method of the XceedRijndaelEncryptionMethod and XceedTwofishEncryptionMethod objects. If you use the SetRandomInitVector method in your applications, it is important to get the latest fix from our Update Center. If you continue to use the previous version of SetRandomInitVector, your AES and Twofish encryption in ChainedBlocks (CBC) mode may become weaker on successive calls to this method due to reduced randomness in the initialization vector.
